Warm tones, a little bit of grain, and some mountain shadows. These photos come from an August afternoon exploring Sundance Resort. The views from the lift were stunning as I rode the lift to the mountain-top restaurant. To me, these photos represent the dusty authenticity that comes from time spent in the mountains. I loved the rustic vibe of the mountain-top restaurant and the small glacier I could see from the ski lift.

It’s fun to look at what a location looks like during its off-season. These mountains had beautiful layers of sediment that almost look like they’ve been painted on. The valleys also had the remnants of what was left of wildflower season.
